Can't belive it's already October

Time going like it's on a rocket, i still can't believe that after 2 months it will be 2008! anyway we can't do anything, thinking about this just waste of thought. I had a exam earlier today, that was pretty good if i don't consider the one stupid mistake i made. and i am a bit relaxed now that don't have any exam next weeks, i am little bit behind in study and hope i will cover that in next weekend.

Something about nothing

*cough* *cough*, can't think about anything, my head feeling like 100 pounds stone to me. now what i am going to write is about new semester that started last week though proper lecture and study begun this week. i took 4 classes and my schedule working perfectly and i just need one thing - concentration - that is what i am not able to give on study.

Watchers

Watchers - an awesome book written by Dean Koontz. I just finished this book few days ago and i have to say this is one of the most thrilling book i ever read. This book about a man - travis, who was member of delta team, a women, who spent most of time of her life in a house, a dog which is extraordinary and a creature that is coming after them. and a killer who thinks he is immortal. this is not all, there are so many thing in this book that made it a great hit,best seller and recommended read. Don't want to tell anything cause that will spoil the fun. so go pick from library or buy, i bet you can't stop until you come to the last page.i give it a 10/10.

Another special day yet nothing special happened

Today is my birthday - haven't done anything for this though.Went to college this morning - had one class, spent over 2 hours on a Visual Basic program and submitted over 60 boxshots on GameFaqs. And then came back to home completely soaked because of heavy rain and played Daxter for couple of minutes.Now writing this blog and have to add some codes to finish that program. So nothing special happened today yet this is my Birthday.

This weekend...Anything special?

Yes, it was. I went to Saint Louis zoo and it was a great experience. Just one that was bugging me that i couldn't see the whole zoo, the reason was we arrived at 2:30 pm and zoo closes at 7 pm, otherwise it was a wonderful day, even the temperature was mild. here are some pictures i have taken, enjoy. In the first picture you can see a Hyena, i had trouble taking its picture because it was moving back and forth all the time, on the other hand the Rhino in the second image was standing like a rock. I took over 70 pictures but i am showing the Polar bear, that is in the third image because this is the first time i have seen polar bear and the Penguin's room in the last picture was freezing cold but was so refreshing that i was thinking of staying there all day.

Today's Blog

I started this day watching movie Hannibal Rising. I was a ok movie, i heard many good things about this movie but it turned out a mediocre film - this movie is about revenge, though it's a horror movie- there are very few scary moments in it.And also i have plan to play some games - Fallout - a classic RPG game.

Nothing is going on

I am out of town for a month - enjoying my summer. and also because i am going to take summer classes i have to go back early june, until that i am staying here. I have plan to write blog daily the reason is i have lots of free time in my hands. I don't have my gaming pc with me - so i am enjoying playing on psp and i am also watching movies and browsing internet and listening to music of course.

As i said in my last blog, i got a psp and a game - but without memory stick psp is nothing but showpiece - though you can play game but can't save game progress. so i went to Best buy and i bought a 2GB memory stick - $40 -it was on sale, and a starter kit that includes - a case,usb cable,car charger,headphone and skin protector - $20. Because i am going out of town for summer vacation - i decided to buy 2 more games from EB games (i bought my PSP from that store and buy all games from there). Also i am using psp to browse the net and just downloaded Locoroco demo and Full Auto 2 battlelines - Locoroco is fun buy Full auto is awesome. i have just one problem i can't view gamespot - beside this all websites loading fine. need some sleep now.

Say hello to my PSP

Final exam is over and now it is PSP time, yes i got PSP today with GTA : LCS. I wanted to buy one from when it is first came to market, but price and addiction to PC games stopped me to buy one. Sony's recent price cut and my need of a new music player foreced me to make this choice and i am really happy to be a proud owner of a great handheld system. I played lots of console, handheld games but never had any system (except Atari 2600), so this is my first gaming system after long time. For now i just got one game and couldn't buy any accessories because i ran out of money. tomorrow i am going to buy 1 GB memory stick,screen protector,travel case and a headphone.

Another day, another blog- short one

This time it's going to be short, really short. As i said before (i think) this is just a test page to find out how the Google Adsense works, so that i can add ads into my site near future, hopfully this summer. But i will also maintain this blog site because two better than one. And i am already getting some money from this one. Thanks to those people who are doing this. ok i will stop here otherwise it won't fall in short category.

It's hot and hot, wondering why i wrote hot twice, because it's really hot out here. It was over 80F today. And the second hot for final exam. Yup final week is here. I have four exams this week and two on the same day (i should put an angry smiley here, but there is no such option here). So wish me luck -of course good luck (i sound so mean). New Yahoo Messenger

Yup, you read right.It's not a new version or completely redesigned one. This is the web version of the popular messenger Yahoo.Here is the link you need . I always thought about this when i was in school and you guys probably know most of the schools block those kind of software to be installed in school computer. now we don't need that. Here is some info on YIM. After login you will see all your friends on left side panel and name of friends who are currently one on a top bar. clicking the name will give the option to chat with the user. You will get all the option of normal messenger like text formatting, color, insert smiley (now new and improved). so why wait. start chatting.

Game worth getting this week - April 22

We are getting lots of game this game, but worth mentioning are-

Pokemon Diamond

This game is for nintendo DS, this franchise is very popular among teenage gamers, thanks to pokemon cartoon and card game. so if you are a fan, this is a must get. For more info and a review check Gamespot Page for this game.

Apple-Rosetta

From official Mac website "New applications bearing the Universal symbol will run natively on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Mac computers. What about the applications you already own? Enter Rosetta. You’ll never see it, you’ll never configure it, you’ll never have to think about it. It’s built into Mac OS X to ensure that most of your existing applications live a long and fruitful life."

What can you do with this software? What is universal software. Apple has all the answer here, for your convenience i am quoting that page "Mac OS X applications that can run natively on both Intel processor- and PowerPC processor-based Macs are called Universal applications. Even if you don't have a Universal version of an application, you can still use it on an Intel processor-based Mac by means of, Rosetta which comes with every Intel-based Mac."

But the problem is forcing a application this is not optimized for intel processor can cause problems. like one that i faced today. i was using a Mac OSX with intel core two duo processor but for a strange reason i can't start any browser - firefox 2 and safari is installed in that Mac, so i was wondering was causing problem, then suddenly i thought may be it's Rosetta. so i
uncheck the box that says open using Rosetta, problem solved. If you are facing same problem try to do that. here is how you can disable Rosetta support.
"Here's how you can force a Universal application to open using Rosetta:

1. Click the application's icon in the Finder, such as Safari's icon.
2. From the Finder File menu, choose Get Info (or press Command-I).
3. Select the checkbox named "Open using Rosetta."(or uncheck if u don't want to)
4. Close the Get Info window."
